Raquel Jones’ Spanish heritage meant remapping her vineyard, with a substantial focus on Iberian varieties. For Jones, making tempranillo meant offering both ends of the flavour spectrum to really showcase the variety. This wine is a younger, more approachable style of tempranillo, not often experienced outside of Spain. Two distinct Ribera del Duero clones are used. Fruit is hand picked and de-stemmed and fermented wild. Minimal new oak and less ageing time, helps maintain fruit freshness and character. There’s plenty of life and energy here. Bursting with juicy dark cherries, red plums, dried herbs and a hint of tomato leaf. A medium-weight, lightly savoury expression with tannins that frame the palate. Vegan friendly.
