Pronounced 'fi-ne-stro', and named as a play on 'Finestra', the Italian word for window, Finestro invites you look through the window of the boutique and independent wine world. We offer a unique place for those who like wine to connect directly with the people who make wine.
A lot of work goes into creating a good wine, and here at Finestro we believe that process is worth honouring and celebrating.
All producers listed on Finestro are independent growers and winemakers, who typically make sustainable wine, from small estates, or source limited parcels of fruit from select growers. Their wines share stories of regionality and terroir, and present the best expression of the winemaker's thoughtful intention each vintage.
The Finestro model is different. We don't buy wine at wholesale prices from our producers to on sell. And we don't waste money on excessive transporting, warehousing and the storing of wine, either; a cost which is usually passed onto the consumer. We simply offer a space for you to browse and buy wine at your leisure, and to your taste.
Like every wine, we recognise that every wine palate is unique. Therefore, we don't rate wines on Finestro - most of our winemakers already carry a swathe of worthy industry accolades that we're best not to mess with. Mostly, we let the wines do the talking, though, for those seeking recommendations, we present Finestro subscriptions.
